Blind Johnnie –
born John Munnelly in Graughil, Co. Mayo Eire in 1866
John Munley emigrated to USA in his obituary below it says that he came from Ireland in April 1889 to Leetonia and worked for two years at Cherry Valley furnace and Lost Creek, Pa in 1893 when he was blinded in a mine accident at Packer #5 mine at age 27 .

He lived and worked at Pennsylvania Working House for the Blind in Philadelphia, a state facility making brooms for 44 years .
He was though better known a Blind Johnny for his making & Playing of the Fiddle.
He died age 73 in 1949 and was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Scraton Pa.
